“Walking is the simplest form of exercise, yet its effects on the body are profound. With each step, you sculpt not just your muscles, but your entire being.”
Going for a stroll every day is a good way to get some exercise into your life...
Some people often focus only on intense workouts like HIIT or heavy weight lifting which is great however, walking is becoming more popular as a way to increase cardio endurance and improve your overall wellbeing. Studies have shown that with just 10 minutes of walking a day, you can improve your heart health making you fitter and reduce your stress levels. Of course, the benefits increase the more you walk, I recommend up to about 30 minutes a day.

We need to raise our heart rate, to get the blood pumping through our body to make the heart stronger and healthier, but also improve our bone health, and organ function whilst strengthening our muscles. This in turn will improve our cardiovascular endurance, which means we can exercise for longer, reducing the risk of chronic diseases like diabetes and heart disease.
Walking unplugged (without devices) can improve your sense of self, allowing you to be present, easing stress, and improving your thought process. Regular exercise is proven to assist with the symptoms of most mental health disorders, as the body releases those happy hormones and enables you to sleep better.
However, it is important to have variety in your routine, if walking is all you do for exercise, you might not see as many benefits. We need to challenge our bodies in different ways. Strength training and functional movement exercises including cardio are also important for our quality and longevity of life.
Please remember if you are new to walking or any form of exercise you may experience some muscle soreness as you adapt to this new movement, remember to take breaks in your training routine, ensure you are drinking plenty of water, and don’t forget to stretch.
To get started with your walking routine, aim for a moderate pace where you're breathing heavily but can still talk. As your fitness levels increase try adding in the occasional hill and try increasing your pace.
Conclusion:
In conclusion, walking every day is great for your health no matter your current level of fitness, but it's important to mix it up with other exercises as well to stay healthy. The most important thing is to find activities you enjoy and will stick with.
